The application of infrared light stimulation to treat the underlying disease processes in dementia are readily explained in this excellent review paper by Michael Hamblin. I think there is now ample support for seeing this as an effective noninvasive, non-drug treatment especially when combined with brainwave biofeedback and functional medicine as described by Dale Bredesen and those following his model of treatment. Any trials available in the UK? Or where to pay per sessions in the UK? At the prices of these equipments we would like to try and see if there are any improvements before spending such a punitive amount of money.
