The Neuradiant 1070 transcranial photobiomodulation (PBM) device was designed based on Quietmind Foundation's (QMF) original published research conducted by Marvin Berman, PhD, and colleagues on the use of 1070nm LED-based transcranial light stimulation on early to mid-stage dementia. QMF's pioneering over 20 years of applied clinical research and practice utilizing photobiomodulation and neurofeedback established the basis for this research effort. The Neuradiant 1070 PBM device represents a significant technical advance in digital phototherapeutics by offering independent 4-quadrant stimulation control, deeper penetration, and unique biochemical and neurophysiological effects on cellular activity and gene expression. These effects then can result in increased energy, cellular repair, preventing future damage, and promoting neural network regeneration.
The Neuradiant uses 1070nm wavelength near-infrared light stimulation and was designed by Dr. Berman to stimulate the whole cortex including the brain stem and cerebellum. The Neuradiant provides variable session duration, intensity (duty cycle), and single hertz pulse control (1-20,000hz), for more accurate stimulation protocol control and improved results. QMF is now offering an updated version of the Neuradiant, called the NeuroMatrix, providing the same power, separate 4-quadrant individualized programming, for 4 users, and allows for up to 9 steps in one stimulation protocol.
Quietmind Foundation, along with our colleagues at Baylor Research Institute (BRI), an affiliate of Baylor Scott & White Health and Texas A&M School of Medicine, conducted one of the first human clinical trials using neuropsychological and advanced neuroimaging assessments to evaluate this innovative approach to transcranial PBM. The device used in that trial was the Cognitolite 1070nm wavelength, which produced rapid (<30 days), significant improvement in mood, motor, and memory loss symptoms. Longer-term individualized treatment programs that include the use of customized home-based, brainwave biofeedback training to renormalize brain network connectivity performance using 1070nm wavelength that now there's published peer-reviewed evidence it can be effective in improving cognitive, motor, and behavioral symptoms associated with neurodegenerative disorders, eg., long-COVID, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative conditions. The intensive PBM-NFB training program costs $10,000 for 12 months and $15,000 for 24- months and includes assessment fees, hardware and software, installation, training, and clinical supervision. Quantitative EEG assessments are billed at $250/quarter and additional study-related medical or laboratory services. Some evaluation services are covered by Medicare and 3rd party insurers, .e.g., Quantitative EEG, and Neuropsychological testing. The submission of all insurance claims is the participant's responsibility, QMF will provide billing that can be used to help with insurance claim submission.
