To unblock your nose, you can try the following exercise:
  • Sit down
  • Breathe out without any effort (i.e. do not try to empty the lungs)
  • Before breathing in again, close your mouth if it is open and pinch your nostrils closed.
  • Nod your head 10 - 15 times, or until you want to breathe.
  • Keeping your mouth closed, remove your hand from your nose and breathe SOFTLY and SLOWLY through your nose
  • Repeat up to 5 times if the nose is very blocked.  Be careful that you do not hurt your neck when nodding.
