Dr. Berman founded the Quietmind Foundation in 2000 to develop clinical research of alternative treatments for brain disorders, particularly dementia, traumatic brain injury, and ADHD.
He received his B.S. in social welfare and psychology from the State University of New York's Empire State College. He then earned his Master's and Ph.D. in Psychoeducational Processes from Temple University, where he studied group and organizational behavior.
He obtained certification in Bioenergetic Analysis at the Philadelphia Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis in 1983. He also trained in neuropsychology, Systems-Centered Therapy, the Feldenkrais Method. Dr. Berman has obtained certification in EEG and peripheral biofeedback.
