Emotional Problems · Alcohol/Substance Abuse and Dependence effective with alcohol, cocaine and other substance use/abuse disorders.. Ten-year followup studies have shown 85% of subjects did not relapse after 6mos. of treatment. Treatment process includes both temperature and EEG biofeedback sessions held 5-7x/week for 5 weeks. Clients report significant reductions in cravings, anxiety and impulsivity. Psychotherapy is conducted along with neurofeedback to establish new behavior patterns that ensure relapse prevention and pro-social lifestyle changes. · Anxiety and panic disorder treatment involves both in-office and home training activities to interrupt the client's habitual patterns of physiological reactions that create anxiety. · Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) children and adults are able to reduce and in some cases eliminate the use of stimulant medications through the application of brainwave training and cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques. Clients report increased focus, attention, ability to organize, complete tasks, and decreased impulsivity and reactivity. Social behavior changes include improved interpersonal relationships, working collaborative with others and enjoyment of group activities. · Bipolar Disorder and Depression where neurofeedback is effective for both disorders in reducing rumination, loss of energy and motivation and the ability to experience pleasure. Clients report increased energy, ability to engage successfully in activities of daily living with greater enjoyment and meaning. · Explosive Rage Disorder has clients reporting regaining control over their anger and impulsivity regarding violent outbursts and abusive behaviors. Treatment programs for explosive rage disorder involve both passive and active EEG biofeedback techniques along with intensive cognitivie-behavioral psychotherapy. · Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) treatment involves in-office and home training techniques for managing the arousal of anxiety related to the original traumatic events. Psychotherapy helps clients understand their symptoms and resolve the issues created by the traumatic event.
